I loved her, she didn’t love me,
She was as pretty as can be,
Love is unkind to the Geek
Aphrodite, Goddess Greek
Never ever gives me a break
Never any love for love’s own sake
I asked her out, she said no,
I spent the rest of the day alone.
[Edited to fix poetic meter and rhyme structure. Neither of us was named, so the universal condition of unrequited love as expressed, would remain eternal and universal]

Aww, nice poem!
Update: I found out the reason why this girl doesn’t want to go on a lunch date with me. She’s even nerdier than I am, she doesn’t want to be distracted by romance when she’s very busy with schoolwork and extracurricular activities like stage drama.
Well, it sure beats my previous experience of a girl who I liked who enjoyed the same Anime I did turning out to be a lesbian. Boy was I barking up the wrong tree with that one…
LOLOL! Aww, pooooor you! I thought you were just writing this poem up for fun, lols. I see, still in school, huh? Like high school schoool? Cos I’m still in high school school too!
No way! So am I!
(wait a minute, isn’t that obvious?)
Well, as we all know from our cartoon education, unrequited love is best. Sorry to hear it, but at least you’re on track; I don’t think I even asked a girl out until college.
Unrequited love for cartoon characters sucks, which is why I decided to get myself some real girl action (which isn’t happening, but it’s still in my mind healthier than sulking in Sailor Moon).
Understanding that Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh and Yomiko from R.O.D. can’t love me back was a big step of maturity for me. I can look, but not touch.
Noe from True Tears on the other hand sounds almost as eccentric as I am, I get the feeling I’ll enjoy this Anime once it gets licensed in Australia.
